Ah – childhood memories. If you’re not familiar with the delights of the North Antrim coast, Portrush is home to one of Northern Ireland’s most well known family attractions – Barry’s Amusements. Unfortunately, it’s closed during the winter months … so we had to just go up north and sing!
The concert was in aid of Limavady Grammars’ school’s project in Kajiado, Kenya in partnership with the Anglican Church there and was held in Portrush Presbyterian church – a great venue as it turns out and many thanks to all those who were instrumental in organising it.
There were a lot of North Antrim people there which was great to see, but it was also great to have some ‘travelling support’ with some more familiar faces from down in this part of the country – it was much appreciated!
While the bus took some of the choir home to Belfast, a few more adventurous types took the chance to explore a little more of the North Coast, finding an open Chinese and getting to bed at some point … well, it would have been rude not to …
